If mobile phone companies are asking you to submit your documents again and
again, ask them to provide you with a copy of your documents that were
submitted before. Question them as to how they have been giving you services
when they did not have your documents. Ask them on what basis did they allot
you the number without having your residential proof and other necessary
documents. If they threaten to disconnect your services, file an FIR against
the Chairman of the company.
We have also received complaints that cell phone companies deduct
National Roaming (NR) charges when anyone tries to make a call from outside the
city limits. This is an act of cheating as they are obliged to inform the
consumer before deducting any charges. If they can relay a recorded message
when the account is low, why cant they relay a warning before dialing NR
number?
